Safer Internet Day

Safer Internet Day is celebrated globally in February each year to promote the safe and positive use of digital technology for children and young people and inspire a national conversation.

Webwise is the Irish Internet Safety Awareness Centre. Webwise is part of the PDST Technology in Education, which promotes and supports the integration of ICT in teaching and learning in first and second level schools.

Their website has lots of resources for parents promoting the safer use of electronic media and enhance protection of the vulnerable – particularly children – against the downside of the internet.
